Resetting Passwords
Individual users or administrators can reset CxEngage passwords within the configuration console. Administrators can also reset passwords for multiple users through a bulk action.
Password Requirements: Your password must be a minimum of 8 characters and contain:

To reset your own forgotten password:
- Access the configuration console login screen.
Go to the URL for your tenant's region:
https://cxengage.net if your tenant is configured for the North American region
https://eu.cxengage.net if your tenant is configured for the European region
- Click Forgot Password? under the login section.
The Forgot Password field appears. - Enter the email address that you use for CxEngage and click Reset Password.
- In your email account, open the email from noreply@cxengage.net.
- Click on the link in the email, or paste it into your web browser.
The Password Reset screen opens. - Enter your new password.
- Confirm your new password.
- Click Change Password.
A confirmation message appears advising that your password was successfully updated, and the login screen appears.
To change your own password while logged into CxEngage:
- Log in to your tenant.
- Access your User Profile.
Your role may default to the User Profile page when logging in. If it doesn't, access it by clicking on the gear icon next to your user name in the top right corner of the window and selecting User Profile. - Click Reset Password.
- Enter your Current Password.
- Enter your New Password.
- Click Update.
A confirmation message appears advising that your password was successfully updated.
Administrators or users with a custom role with the MANAGE_ALL_USER_PASSWORDS permission can send password reset emails to any user on the tenant.
To reset a user's password:
- Log in to the tenant.
- Go to User Management > Users.
- Click the user who requires their password to be reset.
The user details panel appears. - Click Password Reset.
- Click OK on the confirmation message that pops up.
An email is sent to the user that includes a link for them to reset their password.
The user's current password remains valid until a new password is set. If a user remembers their password prior to submitting a new one, they can disregard the email and continue to use their current credentials. |

To reset the passwords for multiple users at one time:
- Log in to the tenant.
- Go to User Management > Users.
- Select each user that requires a password reset by clicking the box next to their name.
- Click Actions.
The Bulk Actions panel appears. - Select the check box next to Reset Password.
- Click Submit.
- Click OK on the confirmation message that pops up.
An email is sent to each of the selected users that includes a link for them to reset their password.
Each user's current password remains valid until a new password is set. If a user remembers their password prior to submitting a new one, they can disregard the email and continue to use their current credentials. |
The link in a password reset email is valid for 24 hours from the time that it is generated. If a user still requires a new password after that time period, a new request must be submitted.
